Hayley began her dance journey at Fusion Dance Studio in 2007 at just 7 years old, quickly developing a deep love for dance. In 2012, she joined Fusion’s Teaching Assistant Program, where she discovered that teaching and inspiring others was just as meaningful to her as performing. She began teaching independently in 2017 and has continued to grow as a teacher, choreographer, and educator ever since.
Over the years, Hayley has trained extensively in Hip Hop, Street Jazz, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Tap, Latin Jazz, Modern, Broadway, Contemporary, Heels, and Acro. She has participated in numerous classes, conventions, and workshops both locally and across Canada and the United States, regularly travelling to Toronto for additional training with leading choreographers and educators.
Her performance and training experiences include travelling to New York and Florida for Dance the World as both a dancer and coach, as well as participating in various other performance opportunities, including Our Divas Do Christmas. She has also attended The Pulse convention in Las Vegas, where she was honoured with a certificate of recognition from the faculty. Hayley continues to train and compete as a dancer, allowing her to stay connected to the performance experience while continuing to evolve.
Hayley has continued to pursue education and professional development throughout her teaching career. She has successfully completed Acrobatic Arts Module 1, Aerial + Back Handspring, and Contortion courses, along with certifications in Progressing Ballet Technique and Alixa Flexibility. She has also attended and trained at The Dance Awards, continuing to expand her knowledge and further develop her skills as an educator and dancer.
As a teacher and choreographer at Fusion Dance Studio, Hayley is actively involved in the competitive dance program. She is dedicated to creating a positive, encouraging, and challenging environment where dancers can build confidence and skills both inside and outside of the studio. She loves watching her students discover their own love for dance and reach their full potential.
Hayley is incredibly grateful to continue doing what she loves every day and is passionate about helping her students grow, achieve their goals, and create lasting memories through dance.
